Founded by l’Union des Artistes (UDA) in 1997, ARTISTI is a Canadian licensing body. Since its creation, ARTISTI has been managing collectively the equitable remuneration right and the remuneration right from the private copying levy.
Since 2008, ARTISTI has been providing its members with the option to have it manage their exclusive reproduction rights for certain reproductions of their performances (commercial radio and MEES) and, since 2015, to have it manage their complete set of exclusive rights.
ARTISTI’s Board of Directors is made up of eleven performers, including backup singers and musicians.
